Spam E-mail

Too much junk or spam e-mail? Maryland and federal law prohibit certain types of false or deceptive commercial e-mail, and provide for $500 damages and attorneys fees. Successful litigation has been brought in Maryland courts. The laws target and regulate the false and deceptive nature of certain commercial e-mail, and not simply that the e-mail is unsolicited.
