Great News!!! The FCC is seeking public comment to revise the FCCs regulations governing telemarketers and junk faxers under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The FCC recognizes that changes in technology and telemarketer practices have made telemarketing and junk faxing much worse than it was 10 years ago in 1992 when the FCC first promulgated telemarketing regulations. This is a great chance to comment on and improve and strengthen the existing regulations.
The FCC comment deadline has passed. Links are still provided below. For more information about the proposed regulations, call Erica McMahon or Richard Smith, FCC Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau, (202) 418-2512.
